Although we will provide a special bus for participants arriving at Gdansk-Trojmiasto Airport, you may wish to visit the Gdansk city. After landing get in a B line bus to Dworzec Glowny that goes every 20-30 minutes from standings near the airport. Of course you must buy two normal tickets (see picture below) that costs 2.40 zl (0.70 EURO) each for you and your luggage. Your travel to the railway station will take about 30 minutes in case of no traffic-jams. Another way is to get a taxi. Railway connections Gdansk Glowny At the beginning we must remark that there are plenty railway stations in Gdansk city. So it is very crucial to get to the right one. If a perspective of struggling through unknown to Frombork is not familiar with you, remember name of the station: Gdansk Glowny. On the other side it is quite difficult not to reach to the one, because almost every train stops there. However there might occur situation you miss the bus provided by us. In such a case we suggest traveling by train to Frombork (through Elblag).When you head for Gdansk from the Southern parts of Europe, you should go through Katowice and Warsaw. This route is the fastest one saving up to 3 hours of a journey. Trains from Warsaw to Gdansk Glowny run frequently (more less 12 times a day). Please, visit DB TravelService to search for possible routes. Traveling through Warsaw airport If you decide to fly to Warsaw and then travel by train, read this paragraph carefully. After landing there are two options.The first one is to take a taxi. Choose only cars form the known and good companies: MPT Taxi, Wa-Wa Taxi or Taxi Bialy. A journey from airport to Dworzec Centralny should take between 15 and 40 minutes depending on the traffic jam. It should cost no more than 40-50 zloty (10-15 EURO).The second, much cheaper, way is to take a bus. First you should buy a bus ticket. There are many shops with newspapers where you can buy tickets at the airport. There are many kinds of tickets in Warsaw but you need only one type. It is normal price ticket costing 2.40 zloty (0.70 EURO). You need one ticket for you and another one for your luggage. There is the bus stop in front of the arrival terminal. Take bus number 175. Put your tickets into a dater (see below) and get out at the bus stop called Dworzec Centralny.
![]() Now you should find one of numerous ticket-offices. You can go to Gdansk where our bus will be waiting for the conference participants. In this case you should buy a ticked from Warszawa Centralna to Gdansk Glowny. There is a direct connection between these two cities and a journey by InterCity or Express train takes around 3 hours and 45 minutes. If you would be late for our bus or want to take journey in your own hands you should go from Warszawa Centralna to Frombork through Malbork and Elblag. In this case your travel will be divided into three parts: from Warsaw to Malbork by InterCity or Express train, form Malbork to Elblag by normal train (called osobowy) and finally from Elblag to Frombork also by normal train. |
